This winter, step outside The Dagny Boston and onto the Rose Kennedy Greenway, one of downtown Boston’s most iconic outdoor spaces, located just steps from our Broad Street entrance. From late January through March, the Greenway comes alive with seasonal attractions, winter art, and family-friendly experiences as part of Winter 2026 programming. Winter 2026 highlights include:
Frostival Ferris Wheel (January 31 – March 1)
As part of the 2026 Boston Frostival Celebration, enjoy a seasonal Ferris Wheel located next to the Greenway Carousel. Operating through late winter, this attraction offers a festive way to experience downtown Boston during the colder months.
Greenway Carousel – Special Winter Hours (January 31 – March 1)
The Greenway Carousel will operate with special hours throughout February, providing a classic Boston experience for visitors exploring the city in winter.
The Playway – Winter Map for Kids & Families
A special winter edition of The Playway map will be available for download via the Greenway website, with printed copies offered at the Carousel while supplies last.
Winter Lights on the Greenway (On view through February 23)
A new winter lighting display illuminates the Greenway in the North End, creating a seasonal outdoor experience perfect for evening walks near downtown Boston.
“Trumpet Flowers” by Amigo & Amigo (January 14 – March 29)
Visit this winter interactive art installation on view at Dewey Square Plaza, adding a creative and immersive element to the Greenway’s winter programming.
