This fall and winter, step outside The Dagny Boston and explore the Rose Kennedy Greenway, one of downtown Boston’s signature outdoor spaces, located just steps from our Broad Street entrance. From outdoor movies and seasonal family activities to illuminated public art, the Greenway offers plenty to discover as Boston transitions from fall into winter.

Fall & Winter 2026–27 highlights include:

Fall Movie Series: Throwback Thursdays (October 8, 15, 22 & 29)
Cozy up for outdoor movie nights in the Wharf District, beginning at 6:30 PM. The 2026 lineup features The Parent Trap, Jumanji, 10 Things I Hate About You, and Casper, with free family-friendly activities beginning at 5:30 PM before each screening.

The Midnight Ride — Nightly Illuminated Mural (Beginning October 15)
See Rixy’s colorful The Midnight Ride mural at Dewey Square in a new way after dark. Beginning October 15, a six-month nightly projection will illuminate the large-scale artwork, bringing the mural to life throughout the fall and winter months.

Chinatown Farmer’s Market (October 10 & 24)
Visit Chin Park for the final dates of the 2026 Chinatown Farmer’s Market season, featuring local vendors and a lively neighborhood setting along the southern end of the Greenway.

Halloween Pumpkin Stroll (October 31)
Celebrate Halloween with a family-friendly Pumpkin Stroll connecting the Boston Public Market, Rose Kennedy Greenway, Boston Children’s Museum, and New England Aquarium. Search for colorful pumpkins along the Greenway, then stop by the Greenway Carousel in costume for a free ride.

The Greenway Carousel (October–November)
Take a spin on the Greenway’s one-of-a-kind carousel, featuring hand-carved characters inspired by native New England wildlife. The Carousel continues operating on select dates through November, making it an easy family-friendly stop while exploring downtown Boston.

Public Art on The Greenway (On View Throughout the Season)
Explore contemporary public art across the park, including Rixy’s The Midnight Ride at Dewey Square, on view through summer 2027, and Ja’Hari Ortega’s interactive Big Hoops to Fill, featuring monumental golden hoop earrings that double as swings and remain on view through winter 2027.
